La Cascina Ponchietta
In a village called 'Montà d'Alba', the Casetta’s family, from generations, manages a farm , which continues to breed cattle of the Piedmontese race, the growing of the vineyard, the grass and the cereals. Beginning from the year 2000 it has started the activity of "Farmhouse" with the recovery of the country house.
The farm stretches to about 13 hectares of land, 3 of those are vine-grown on the sweet slopes of the San Vito’s hills around the farm.
The east-south and south-west exposure, the height of 360 metres
above the sea level and the clayey land are the features which
characterize our wines.
The wine producted are only red wines such as:
- Barbera d'Alba
- Langhe Nebbiolo
- Caio (a dry wine obtained by the vinification of Brachetto long grapes)
- Langhe Freisa
An accurate care of the vineyard allows to bring healthy and ripe
grapes in the wine cellar and to obtain wines of good structure, well
balanced with pleasant and intense scents.
The interests and the attention given to us by our guests are reason of great satisfaction.
